Privacy Policy

To combat the excessive amount of personal data subject to processing and improve its protection, thereby increasing consumer and business confidence, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 (“General Data Protection Regulation”, GDPR) came into being, applicable since May 25, 2018 to all businesses operating within the European Union (EU).

As a European regulation, the GDPR is directly applicable to all Member States at the same time, through which it aims to standardize and strengthen the rules on personal data protection for all EU citizens. In Portugal, the implementation of the GDPR is ensured in the national legal system by Law 58/2019, of August 8.

As a data controller, respect for the rights of our users, including the privacy and security of their personal data, is of the utmost importance to My Nanny Village.

In this sense, My Nanny Village undertakes to comply with the RGPD and other applicable legislation on privacy and protection of personal data, namely:

  • To process only the personal data that is necessary, accurate and for legitimate purposes, in a loyal, confidential, complete and secure manner, without making any changes to them and without making them available, selling or exchanging them, except in the situations explicitly stated below;
  • To keep the personal data processed only until the purposes for which they were processed cease to exist;
  • To provide any clarification that the user, as holder of personal data, requires.

Our site may contain links to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of those sites and cannot accept responsibility for their privacy policies.

You are free to decline our request for personal information with the understanding that we may not be able to provide some of the services you desire.

Your continued use of our site will be deemed acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. If you have any questions about how we handle user data and personal information, please contact us.

My Nanny Village processes personal data for the sole purpose of:

  • Sending email newsletters with pertinent information about our services to ensure that the user is always up to date with our news.
  • Requests for information, quotes, suggestions, compliments or complaints through our contacts.

Since the processing of personal data in connection with the sending of email newsletters and the creation and management of an online account does not constitute a legal or contractual obligation, and you are under no obligation to provide your personal data, My Nanny Village will ask you for your consent to the processing.

At any time, you may cancel the newsletters, delete your online account or change your details.

The cancellation is equivalent to a revocation of your consent to the processing of data, which will be immediately deleted (in the case of the online account, the data processed only for the purpose of managing your account will be deleted).

To cancel the sending of newsletters or change the email address provided, you should use the link present at the end of each email sent. To change or view your account information online, you must access directly to your account.

If you wish to delete your online account, you must request it in writing to general@mynannyvillage.

With regard to revocation of consent, My Nanny Village informs you that this does not invalidate the processing of personal data carried out until then. The personal data processed in connection with the online sending of email newsletters will be kept for as long as the newsletter is active or until the user revokes his consent.

The data you provide us with in the context of requests, suggestions, compliments or complaints will be processed in My Nanny Village’s legitimate interest in following up and responding to your contact.

At any time, the user may object to the processing of the data by writing to general@mynannyvillage. This data will be kept for a period of 5 years, except in situations where other legal or contractual deadlines apply.

In addition to the rights to withdraw the consent that you have given us for any processing and to object to the processing of personal data, you, as the holder of personal data, are also guaranteed, at any time, the right to access the personal data concerning you, the right to request the rectification (including updating) or erasure of your personal data, the right to restrict the processing and the right to data portability, upon written request to general@mynannyvillage. Requests will be processed by My Nanny Village within a maximum of 20 working days.

To protect the personal data processed by My Nanny Village we adopt administrative and technical measures to prevent the data from being used, accessed, disclosed or destroyed in an improper or unauthorized manner, such as, for example, the protection and monitoring of information systems through controls that prevent unauthorized access to personal data and the redundancy of equipment for storage and processing of personal data.

By providing your personal data to My Nanny Village, you acknowledge and consent to its processing in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

You may, whenever you wish, submit any complaint regarding our Privacy Policy to the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD), the National Control Authority for the purposes of the GDPR and Law 58/2019.

My Nanny Village reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time, so we recommend that you consult this page regularly.
